Value of the Data
• The experiment was conducted using a designed solar pump based in remote areas in Phayao province.
• The study utilizes Response Surface Methodology to investigate and optimize the perfor- mance of a photovoltaic solar water pumping system under ideal conditions.
• The research identifies specific optimal conditions for maximum efficiency, such as a solar irradiance of 750 W/m2 , a voltage of 480 V, and a temperature of 37.5 °C, resulting in an 80.80% efficiency.
• Results of the social return on investment (SROI) evaluation suggest that solar photovoltaic water pumps not only prove to be economically profitable but also generate social value that benefits both society and local stakeholders in remote areas. • The research concludes by highlighting the overall potential of solar water pumps as a sus- tainable and advantageous solution for agricultural water supply in remote areas, emphasiz- ing their reliability, cost-effectiveness, and positive environmental impact.
